It was with great anticipation that I was looking forward to visiting The Sagar School. Ever since I met Ms Rosemary in New York, I’ve had a connection with the school for a long time. I think, I got to know Sagarians quite well over the last three days, as they have been with me quite a lot. As a prospective parent, having met these young people, I would have thought what an amazing place to be and what an amazing school community to be producing and helping young learners to grow and develop into such fine young people. And I believe that’s perhaps the best possible testament to a school and its community. I've had the privilege of sitting in on some wonderful lessons across all the different subjects, English, Science, Hindi and Arts. And I've seen some amazing talent on campus, both intellectual as well as artistic. We had a fantastic Cricket match on the field, where they very kindly let me score a few runs before I was bowled out brilliantly by the bowler.
I've been beautifully welcomed and I've managed to get a really good feel for this wonderful school. It's a beautiful campus, it’s lush green, calm, and tranquil, with wonderful wildlife and fantastic facilities. But I think, as always, it’s the people who fill it are the heart of a school community and there are wonderful people here. It's been a real privilege and a pleasure to spend time with the Principal, the Vice Principal, the staff, and most importantly, all the students. I look forward to coming back again in the future. And I hope we would continue to strengthen the bond between my school, Canford in England, and The Sagar School here in Rajasthan.
