In today's dynamic world, traditional education often fails to adequately prepare students for the challenges of the future. The present school students will join the workforce in the 2030s or 2040s and the world will be quite different then.
Sagar aims to arm its protegees to take challenges head-on in this ever-evolving world and has designed a few special programmes within and beyond the syllabi to address the skills of Creativity, Problem-solving, Adaptability, and Emotional Intelligence for navigating a rapidly changing landscape. By fostering these skills, students become equipped to adapt to new situations, embrace innovation, and thrive in a constantly evolving job market. These are not only essential for career success but also personal growth and active citizenship in the future.

The school champions the spirit of ‘sharing and caring’ and cultivates a sense of purpose through community service by actively engaging in acts of compassion and empathy for the underprivileged and contributing to something larger than oneself. Ever since its inception, The Sagar School has been working closely with the neighbouring communities and has contributed to their growth and development. The village of Maliyar, adopted by The Sagar School, has witnessed a lot of transformative development projects initiated by the school community and donors. The students are actively involved in educating the village women folk from nearby villages on health and hygiene, agriculture, government-related programmes, and banking. They collaborate with the rural people in the learning and making of handicrafts, jewellery and many more and they earn a monthly stipend. Proceeds on sales of these products are routed back into this programme. Along with students, many staff spouses are also part of the work.
At The Sagar School, students are encouraged to engage in brief research projects to build their profiles for future endeavours. These initiatives are pivotal for student development, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills while allowing exploration beyond textbooks. By conducting research, students learn to gather, analyse, and interpret data, deepening their understanding of the subject matter. It also inspires curiosity and a passion for learning as students explore areas of personal interest.
