Sagar Varta

The Sagar School's Squash Team participated enthusiastically in the 1st Sharda Squash Tournament in Greater Noida from 30th September to 3rd October. Competing in U-17 and U-19 categories, students displayed excellent skills and sportsmanship. Their participation highlighted their passion for the sport and provided valuable experience in high-level competition.

On Gandhi Jayanti, The Sagar School hosted 'Shramdaan,' a campus clean-up drive where students thoroughly cleaned school premises, hostels, and their homes. Embracing Gandhi's principles of cleanliness and service, the initiative fostered unity and responsibility, inspiring everyone to uphold his enduring legacy of social commitment and environmental care.

Sagarians participated in a Round Square activity where they discussed renowned figures such as Gandhi Ji, Ronaldo, and Anne Frank. Their struggles and perseverance were explored, reflecting the theme of resilience. The session emphasized overcoming obstacles and finding peace, reinforcing the message of triumph and hope after life's storms.

Kicking off World Space Week celebrations, Class XII Science conducted a senior school assembly centered on the theme of space. The assembly featured fun facts about space and engaging quizzes for the audience. It marked the beginning of the weeklong celebration while informing students about the exciting programs planned for the rest of the week.

The highly anticipated Inter-House Science Quiz was a success, sparking students' enthusiasm for science. Sagarians competed across various rounds, including a buzzer round, solving riddles, and identifying famous scientists, showcasing their teamwork. Sapphire House secured first place, followed by Emerald in second, with Diamond House taking third.

In celebration of World Space Week, Sagarians gathered in the common room on Saturday for Movie Time to watch Gravity (2013). Known for its realistic portrayal of space, the film captivated the audience, offering both entertainment and educational insights into space travel. Its stunning visuals sparked curiosity and deepened students' appreciation for the cosmos.

The Principal welcomed Ms. Tanu Tiwari as the new Vice-Principal of the school. Addressing the gathering, Ms. Tiwari shared her vision and expectations for the community. She motivated students to embrace their roles as responsible citizens, emphasizing the importance of contributing positively to the school's boarding community and fostering a sense of unity.

In celebration of World Space Week, the Science department organized a Solar System Coloring event for Middle School and postcard-making activity for Senior School. These creative initiatives allowed students to engage with space-related themes, encouraging artistic expression while deepening their understanding of the solar system and the wonders of space exploration.
