LIBRARY

The library is set up to international standards with the latest facility in information technology, fully classified with the Dewey Decimal Classification system, fully automated and bar coded. Shelves and racks are lined with more than 12,000 books covering resources selected by teachers to enhance understanding of subjects. A vast collection of books on fiction, non-fiction, encyclopedias, magazines, journals and periodicals provide both intellectual stimulation and relaxation.

Beside this, there is also a huge collection of educational CD and DVDs for ready reference on a multitude of topics.

COMPUTERS & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Projectors & Classroom Computers

Computer aided Teaching classrooms have a teacher computer connected to the School LAN and internet. All learning spaces are equipped with projectors.

Computer Labs

The School has two fully equipped computer laboratories with 24 computers each. These are used for the teaching of computing to all age groups. Students are allowed to use the internet at set times in the week under staff supervision. Safeguards are set to ensure that students cannot access objectionable sites, chat or download unauthorised materials from the net.

• Extramarks.com provides Online Education, E-Tutoring, E-Learning, Guidance & help platform.

• EducationalInitatives.com Educational Initiatives is working in educational research and assessment. Online tests enhance knowledge.

• Geospatial: A separate lab with computers connected on a network has been set up for learning on projects such as Remote Sensing, Global Positioning Systems and Geography Information System.

A dedicated system administrator is available to provide technical assistance, server and network administration.

LABORATORIES

The Sagar School has developed separate and fully equipped labs for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Life Sciences, as these subjects are not only based on theoretical learning but also practical applications. The curriculum helps the students to develop skills through keen observation in the areas of scientific theories, life processes, materials and their physical and chemical properties. Students are given demonstrations and then are expected to conduct these experiments as stipulated in their curriculum. They are taken out on field trips for plant collection for their herbarium. An innovatively designed Math lab makes learning this subject interesting and simple.

Students along with their teachers are encouraged to conduct internal and external science symposia as well as science fairs. A room is devoted to creation of models and presentations during science projects and exhibitions. Talented students are trained and encouraged to participate in Mathematics and Science Olympiads.
