The school day is a busy one and has been carefully organized to ensure that students have the widest range of opportunities at the same time  academic work is always given clear focus. The day begins at 06.10 with a formal session of fitness training for every student. After this, students return to their hostels to wash and change before moving towards breakfast and a formal assembly.

Lessons begin at 08.20 and run through to 13.20 when lunch is served. There are seven lessons each day. This allows each student to study each subject every day.

After lunch students have an opportunity to rest or to visit the library or to use the internet for an hour or so. After this, at 16.00, there are formal games when students can play and learn a wide variety of sports.

At 17.30, students have afternoon refreshments and then wash and change in preparation for ninety minutes of supervised prep time.

At 20.20, students eat dinner and after this there are more relaxed opportunities to pursue individual interests through a programme of societies and talent enrichment.

On Sundays, a more relaxed routine is followed but emphasis is again placed upon offering students a variety of options in a carefully supervised way. Sport often forms the basis of the day and cycling trips, outside visits, house events and school films are all available to students.
