We believe, wholeheartedly, that education does not begin and end at the classroom door and that many of the best lessons are learned when students test themselves in new and adventurous situations. For this reason, we arrange for all students to undertake an expedition or trek each year. These aim to give each student a safe and carefully supervised challenge in which each one can test his or her physical and mental strength and fitness. Recently, students have visited Baralachla, Manikaran, Gaumukh and Ladakh with the treks targeted at students of a certain age and level of fitness.

Many of our students enjoy such experiences so much that they volunteer to undertake the International Award for Young People (IAYP) which rewards them for  undertaking service for their community. This internationally recognized award is seen by many employers and universities as proof of a student’s good character and ability to respond positively to adversity.
